Stone Gables Engineering Services, LLC (“SGE”), founded in 2006, specializes in civil and structural engineering services, expert testimony, and operations research. In addition to these services, SGE also offers design, engineering, and rental services of scaffolding systems, which often goes hand-in-hand with the design and engineering services offered by SGE to clients during the construction phase of building projects.

SGE primarily serves clients in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

John S. Reed founded SGE in 2006. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from West Point, a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from WPI and an MBA from the University of Pforzheim, Germany. John is a registered Structural Engineer (S.E.) in the States of Massachusetts and Illinois and is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the States of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New York. John has practiced engineering for over 20 years, largely supporting builders, contractors, designers, property owners, attorneys, insurance companies, private businesses and other clients with their engineering needs.

Through established relationships with local architects, designers and engineers located throughout Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts, Stone Gables Engineering is able to quickly build collaborative teams comprising the necessary skill sets to meet the clients’ schedule and budget.
